Rather than coming up with a solution to problems, we are able to discuss as a team, get input, and decide as a group what the best solution will be. I really appreciate being able to have input that is used when making decisions.
Jenelle is always willing to listen to staff frustrations, provide feedback, and offer suggestions on ways for improvement. Jenelle is one of the best managers I have had- I think having worked as staff in these departments has given her great input in the day-to-day happenings on the unit, and she can relate to what staff feels and the changes that happen. Since being in this role Jenelle has had to take over additional responsibilities and area that make her less available, even when not on site she is accessible via Teams and is quick to respond to staff. I am sure the extra areas have presented stress for Jenelle but she doesn't show it.

She gives the staff her full attention and is able to follow up on tasks. I appreciate that Jenelle is willing to hear concerns and can work with the team to develop solutions for problems. In the Austin location, we have been working with less FTE due to departures, and Jenelle continues to request this be replaced. It has taken time, but we have been able to show that this is a needed FTE, and Jenelle has advocated for our team in pediatrics and the need for additional staff to make the new scheduling templates work. After what seemed like a lifetime, we have been granted this FTE in part due to Jenelle's persistence.

Jenelle is highly organized and makes a point to share the plans with the team. I have been pushing for the new peds template to be opened as we had patients wanting to schedule visits. She sent me a text while I was off on PTO to let me know the schedules were open because she had always said I would be the first to know. Even when not on site, she makes sure to send our group a Teams message on how to reach her. Jenelle exhibits compassion in all that she does. When we are behind and feeling stressed, she steps in and helps.
