We think it is important that you understand the outstanding job Jenn did as a nursing professional and more importantly as a human being while caring for my husband who was a patient and myself, his wife during our 17 day stay on 4 West.
My husband was operated on for colon cancer and released 5 days later just to be readmitted for a hot gallbladder. Jenn treated us as if we were her family. She was not only attentive to my husband's needs but also helped us understand terminology that can sound very scary to two otherwise healthy adults that were just getting used to hearing the word "cancer", let alone gallbladder issues.
Jenn's ability to get her job done while showing the utmost compassion cannot be emphasized enough. Nurses like Jenn need to be recognized for their professional work and their humanity.
