At a recent volleyball game at Hope Middle School, an elderly woman who was watching her granddaughter play became ill and was escorted out of the gym by her husband. Fearing that the woman may be exhibiting signs of an acute stroke, Jenni leapt into action and assisted the woman, who by this time was lying on the concrete outside. Jenni quickly knelt down beside her and started to take her vitals and reassured the woman and her family. At some point, EMS was activated. I know that Jenni's quick action and training helped this family through a very stressful event. I also felt very proud to work with Jenni and to know that her commitment to our mission runs deeper than just within the walls of the hospital.
