Jennifer is very devoted to the nursing profession and to Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare. Jennifer reflects expertise and skill in all her interactions with patients, families, and fellow associates. She shows true professionalism by conducting herself with responsibility and integrity. When collaborating with other healthcare professionals, Jennifer maintains a questioning attitude of "Why are we doing this?" This has led to new methods and procedures to be more efficient in decreasing the number of repetitive calls made daily to Same Day patients. She recently advocated for a Same Day patient who would come in biweekly for a procedure but was never booked or scheduled. She presented the situation to her leaders, which led to receiving advance orders of six months for the patient. This prevented the patient waiting hours to get correctly scheduled and a positive patient experience. Jennifer displays a caring and thoughtful tone when speaking about performing her job. Recently, Jennifer provided care for a patient who was having suicidal thoughts. She communicated effectively to all team members and was able to get the patient admitted appropriately. These are qualities that prove why Jennifer is a DAISY Nurse.
