Jennifer took care of my 96-year-old Dad. She was his hospice nurse and saw him through assisted living and ending at Redmond Care Nursing. Her professionalism, care and support were extraordinary. He had terrible pain, was bedridden for months and only eating ice chips, but he wanted to "stay" and live a little longer. What made Jennifer so special was that she didn't just sedate. She realized he wanted to be alert and she explored many options of pain control. She could have taken an easy road but she didn't. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was willing to go along with the moments of delusion. My favorite was when he, who was a pilot in WWII, was convinced he was flying a plane and wanted to take Jennifer for a ride. She climbed up in that "plane" (the bed). She continued to take care of him, taking his blood pressure, oxygen, etc. He was delighted. Thank you Jennifer!
