Jennifer Friesinger is an exceptional person and nurse. She has been a great OJ8 staff nurse and team leader. She has been very involved with our unit council and Magnet program. She is so kind and caring with her patients and coworkers; always going out of her way to help others. She steps in to help team members having a bad day without being asked to do so. When a coworker has a patient "crashing" and orders to transfer to a critical care unit, she will stop what she is doing to join in the effort to get the patient stabilized and moved to critical care. Let's not forget to mention as team leader she has been involved in everyone's problems and issues, not just mine. Best of all, she takes it all in stride, never complaining and with a smile on her face. Her positive energy and kindness is felt by us all.

On a personal note, my husband was battling illness for a year and a half. Jennifer was such a help to me. Some days at work I would break down and cry because I was a nurse at work and a nurse at home. She looked after me at work by giving me a few minutes of time out to calm myself. She sent me notes of encouragement and some days cried with me. She did this not only for me but for others also. She has been a wonderful example of "Relationship Based Care" before we even knew what it was. She is compassionate and has made such a difference for so many of her patients and coworkers.
