I met my nurse, Jenny Jackson, on the morning of my admittance. I had come from the ER, where I came to be treated for a skin infection on my lower belly. While in the ER, after bloodwork was done, they found my potassium level to be high. Having never experienced these issues, I was extremely nervous and scared. I had two very bad diabetic episodes to the point of passing out, and I was so nervous and scared. Jenny came to my room, and her presence immediately calmed me. She took the time to listen to me and understand all of my concerns. Not once did she rush me. If she didn’t have an answer to my question, she jotted it down and came back quickly with an answer. I had some major issues with disruptive roommates, and Jenny heard my concerns and was able to move me to a more peaceful room. I have been a patient here many times and had some great nurses, but Jenny was the best. She never let it show how busy she was. She treated me with kindness and respect, as if I were her only patient. My comfort, nervousness, and condition were important to her. I wish you had hundreds of Jenny Jacksons; she is one of your most valuable assets. I am so grateful for her amazing talent and skills.
