I'm nominating Jessica for her outstanding nursing care in a very heart-wrenching time. Not only did she care for her patient, she cared for the family who was unable to visit due to COVID positive. My mother in law was admitted to ICU from 6-South where she quickly declined. Our wishes were upheld, for no heroics. Jessica, along with her coworkers over this weekend became my mother in law's family over the course of hours in which she was made comfort care and allowed to pass peacefully. On multiple calls from nurses, the pm nurse commented "Jessica is an Angel", she has music playing and has made her extremely comfortable and has been with her today as she was withdrawn from care and allowed to pass. I have personally witnessed her care as I work with her, and know without a doubt, she is an Angel.
