I would like to recognize my nurse, Jessica, for a few reasons. Jessica is very kind, sweet, patient, and compassionate! When I was admitted into Observation from the ER, it was very unexpected, and I was concerned and had lots of questions. Jessica took the time to listen to me, and then she answered the questions she could. She also reached out to the doctor, who admitted me because I was anxious and concerned. It was a very busy time when I entered the unit, and Jessica was being pulled in all different directions while she was introducing herself, but she kept her smile and bright composure and handled it all like a queen! She was very apologetic for all the interruptions, but I assured her it was fine! She then took her time to get me settled in and made sure I had all my questions answered. Jessica's dedication to being a phenomenal nurse is quite evident in her appearance and manner! If all nurses could handle themselves with the grace and strength that Jessica does, their shifts would be less stressful. Jessica is the pure reflection of "it's how we handle what's thrown our way" that determines the stress level we keep ourselves at during work hours! I work for the sheriff's office and I understand how days can be stressful, but it's how we respond and cope to make the best of our shift!
