My daughter was in for a scheduled C-section. Her husband had left her when she was 7 months pregnant and although it was a joyous occasion, it was a very hectic and trying time for us. I went into the C-section and was overjoyed when I got to take my first grandson to the Nursery.
I was met there by Jessica. She had a calming sense about her. She took charge like a quarterback and got straight to work weighing him in and checking off her chores. She made me feel secure about leaving him to go check on my daughter. She followed up with instructions and advice in a welcoming way making my daughter feel she was getting advice from a friend. She was very knowledgeable about babies in general. She had great tips on breastfeeding that put my daughter at ease which in turn put her mother at ease.
I was glad to have my daughter being taken care of by such an outstanding professional such as Jessica. Nurses are more worn out and weary during this historic time. Nurses all need a pat on the back since we are literally serving the front lines in this battle and it makes it that much nicer to have nurses like Jessica to serve with.
