I have worked with Jessica for five years and have witnessed many occasions when she has shown compassion and heart towards her patients. She doesn't like to be in the spotlight, but she is special. Recently, as she was getting a patient ready to go home, the patient said they were unable to afford their medications which they would need to take at home. Jessica knew the medications were important to the patient's ongoing health. Jessica went to the pharmacy and purchased the medications for the patient. The patient was beyond thankful. This moment in Jessica's life was just one of the many kind gestures that she has shown or will show in the future.

Jessica is such a compassionate person, as her co-workers will be quick to tell anyone. She is the first one to start planning a celebration for a co-worker who is having a baby or graduating with a degree. She is known to sit and hold a patient's hand while she listens to their story or console a family member who just lost their loved one. Jessica is also very modest and does not want praise or recognition for the care she provides to her patients. She is a nurse because she is committed to helping others and all she expects in return is the feeling she has at the end of the day that she has provided exceptional, compassionate care to her patients and their families.
