From the moment Jessica took over my care a few hours ago, she has provided such exemplary care that I would almost believe that I am her sole patient. Not only has she done everything that she can to make me comfortable and ease my pain (anterior/posterior lumbar fusion this morning), but she has responded to my needs immediately. She has sought multiple cooling methods for my back, listened to me complain, explained and educated me and my family on the processes and procedures she is doing for me- all with a smile on her face. Unfortunately, I have had multiple surgeries and a lifetime of migraines and body complaints. This equates to being cared for by, and experiencing, many, many registered nurses from the great to the atrocious. My step-mother even was a Critical Care nurse years ago, before taking over management of ICUs. I met many nurses through her and/or saw them work with very ill patients. My experiences and the many men and women who have cared for me in my life give me the confidence to say with the utmost surety that Jessica is, by far, THE BEST nurse that I have ever had the honor to meet. (My family thinks so too.) I am again honored to nominate Jessica for a DAISY Award. If I could give it to her myself, I would. She meets the criteria tenfold. I truly hope that you will take this nomination and turn it into a selection. Jessica absolutely deserves it. Thank you, for your time and consideration.
