Jessica is always super positive and willing to jump in and assist her coworkers in whatever way is most necessary. She is calm and competent in an emergent situation and is often sought out for advice.

Several months ago a patient put their call light on for assistance. The situation rapidly deteriorated and Jessica calmly began CPR and sent a coworker for the crash cart. The patient remembered her some weeks later when he came back to our unit from the ICU. "I remember you, you saved my life!" She kept him calm and reassured him that he was being well cared for, reinforcing that he was safe and would not be left alone.

She recently identified that one of our patients who has challenging behavioral issues loved flowers. She didn't have him as a patient that day, but took him out to the healing garden and helped him pick flowers. This caring gesture helped greatly to calm this very demented patient.

Her calming, self assurance is much appreciated by her patients and co-workers.
