This is the nomination about Jill from a patient’s family:
Nurse Jill is one of Oakwood’s best nurses! When I think of my mom’s time in Oakwood I will always remember her. Her personality was uplifting and she has a great gift of empathy. She was a lifeline for my siblings and me during this darkest most tragic time in our lives. What I love about Nurse Jill was that she cared. She really cared, and it wasn’t just her job.
I remember one time before my mom had Nurse Jill, she took time to make sure that as my mom’s medical advocate requests were taken care of.
Not everyone has the ability to be gifted as a nurse. Being a nurse is more than being booksmart. It has to be a calling to want to take care of people. Nurse Jill has this calling.
On the night my mom passed Nurse Jill was out of town, celebrating her birthday. I was so worried because I wanted her there with me because she had been my rock during my mom’s stay in the CCU. She was a Godsend when I needed my spirit lifted. She was an angel to my mom and a friend to my family.
