We had Jill taking care of our baby H for her first three nights in the nursery and she was there when H was first checked in. As stressful of a situation as it has been, Jill has helped make the entire ordeal much easier for us. As she got H checked in and situated, I could tell in those first couple minutes that this was the job Jill was meant for.
From her obvious connection and bond with these babies she watches over to her natural ability to put us parents at ease, I can't imagine what this experience would look like without her. Add in the little touches of her going the extra mile by making little crafts like a footprint sailboat and making sure we got pictures after we forgot because we were so excited to see her oxygen tubes out, and I can easily say Jill is one of my all-time favorite people in the world, not just favorite nurses.
We would prefer our girl get better and not have to stay in the NICU, but if she is here the next time Jill works, I would want no one else watching over my baby girl.
