An Oncology patient's husband called the patient (his wife) and stated he had fallen at home. His arm was hurt and he was unable to come to visit her. The Patient and her husband do not have any family in Las Vegas so at the end of the day shift; Nurse Jo Dailey went above and beyond her role to the patient and extended her care to the patient's family member. She went to check on her patient's husband at their home, as discussed with his wife (patient); she determined a need for medical assessment and brought him to the ER. He had broken his arm and following treatment, staff provided a cot in the patient's room where he stayed the night at his wife's side which provided peace of mind and comfort for her.
