I started working at Beaumont Wayne in 2018. Coming here from another hospital was tough but the staff was always welcoming to me. Jocelyn in particular was always asking if I needed help. She is a well-rounded respected nurse by all the staff and she takes excellent care of her patients. She is always willing to pick up extra shifts and help out when our unit gets into a bind. Even now after COVID, she has been helping the unit fill gaps and stays extra whenever we need her. She has shown and continues to show me and the rest of our staff what it is to be a great nurse. She is a leader, a teacher someone to look up to, yet remains humble and all of our unit absolutely adores her. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of an award than her. She is such a hard worker and she takes impeccable care of her patients as well as her coworkers. Anyone who has come across her in this field is lucky to learn from her. All of her patients are lucky to have her. She provides exemplary care and compassion to everyone. She is the definition of going above and beyond.
