I would like to nominate an amazing leader for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Since John B. came to us as our Chief Nurse, he has brought a true sense of pride and passion for care to our facility. He is always upbeat and positive, models our PRIDE values, and lives our vision and mission here at the Medical Center. He cares about our patients, their families, our staff and providers, as well as our system and community. John is a committed leader, well-versed in evidence-based practice, and brings many years of experience in many healthcare settings to help us grow. His clinical expertise is a real asset to the Medical Center. He has spearheaded several change projects to improve the standard and scope of care at Good Sam and is really bringing the nursing team together for the good. He regularly engages his team and those they lead to understand how to support each of them. John is trustworthy, a man of his word, open to hearing other perspectives, and leads with empathy and compassion for his team. He has really inspired me and others to continue to expand our vision of the future for our practice and for the medical center. He is a shining example to us all. He is a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
