My father was admitted to the ICU at Brandon Regional Hospital for complications due to chemotherapy. My father had severe dehydration and bleeding ulcers in his esophagus, stomach, and lower intestines. He was not able to eat or drink. His blood pressure was extremely low, along with various other complications from the dehydration. For three consecutive nights, Jon was my father's ICU nurse. Jon's attention to detail, focus, care, compassion, and professionalism provided my father with outstanding medical care. My father also has a colostomy bag and Jon did a tremendous job in changing and monitoring his output. Jon also fed my dad and because of mouth ulcers put his meds in pudding and fed them to my dad. Jon constantly checked on my dad throughout the night and morning. He changed his bed and adjusted his position in bed for comfort. He never failed to provide the best of care. Jon's commitment to excellence is apparent in everything that he does for the patient. Jon truly has a healer's touch. I want to thank Jon for skillful, compassionate care he provided for my father, a 27 year Army Veteran. The U. S. Army's motto is "Be All That You Can Be". Jon would make the Army proud.
