Jon is the G.O.A.T, which stands for greatest of all time. He listens to my concerns and THAT makes him a good, good nurse.
I am a patient with bipolar-1 disorder. I know that doesn't define me, but my nurse made me feel good about myself inside - his name is Jon. Jon has the most beautiful flowing hair ever. He walks around and it's like a gazelle is walking around. Anyway, the point of my story is medication. I have PCOS or thyroid issues, and I struggle swallowing pills. Jon was sympathetic and waited patiently until I was all done with my medication. Jon is the G.O.A.T, which stands for greatest of all time. He listens to my concerns and THAT makes him a good, good nurse. Jon never puts his needs before the patients. Now, I'm not sure of this but what I do know is he got me two cups of Gatorade with the snap of his fingers. And that's impressive in a psych ward because they don't normally have Gatorade. But I explained to Jon that I get dizzy in the shower sometimes, and the Gatorade that Jon gave me actually helped. Definitely helped. So now here I am writing a DAISY nomination for Jon because he deserves it, immensely. Jon deserves it because he exemplifies what a nurse should be and is. I thank you, Jon, and I hope this story inspires other nurses to be like Jon.
