Jordan started his career with Saint Luke's in 2007, as a CV Circulating Nurse and has been running circles ever since. He transplanted into the ER in 2008. He landed the position by saying he was: timely, dedicated, maintained a strong work ethic and was service based. Jordan has stayed true to himself and it is the basis of his award.
Jordan is known for his willingness to try anything. He has been a dedicated staff nurse, team leader and most recently house supervisor. This really makes him the well rounded individual that he is today and his future is bright.
Jordan is a team player. He comes in early, stays late, swaps shifts or whatever his team needs. There is no task that he can't handle. If you need a moderate sedation, Jordan is your nurse. If need cardio version, Jordan is your nurse. If you need to rock a baby, Jordan is your nurse. This is why Jordan deserves this award.
There are countless compliments in Jordan's file from just as many sources. His resilience to his profession can not be taught. He has learned and supported several new units and is viewed as a resourceful and respected leader. Jordan has worked hard to achieve his goals and there is nothing that he can not do when he sets his mind to it.
The night that stood out amongst the rest was the one when all he had to do was watch the babies in the nursery. So Jordan, with no experience with babies, did what all men do, NOT! He stayed. He stepped in with the entire group of little dependant beings and did what he does best. He was resourceful. If they needed some rocking, he rocked. If they need to be fed, he fed them. If they needed a diaper change, then I am not sure what he did...
Jordan, you are a very valuable member of the team at Saint Luke's East Hospital. You have grown so much from your very first day to an outstanding leader today. Thank you for what you are willing to do for our patients and all the staff. We are lucky to have you!
