Jordan is a leader who pushes you to be your best self, she is smart and so well-spoken, and always makes you feel comfortable in her presence. She shares her experiences and makes you want to settle in and be a part of her team.
Jordan has strived to better serve the patients and the staff members not only in the Essentia Fargo location, but the entire West Market. She collaborates with several leadership members and advocates for what is best for everyone at hand. She wants to make sure everyone is getting the best experience possible when they come to Essentia. She has shaped and improved the patient flow department, case management, staffing, and float teams, which are all key members of the day-to-day activities at 32H. She shows excitement and is eager to bring new ideas and change to the teams and encourages people to bring forth new ideas.

Jordan has worked tirelessly to get to where she is today. She is knowledgeable, direct, and relentless, yet she also has a soft side. Jordan has been knocked down, told ‘no’ to leadership positions in the past, yet has come back time and time again to fight and lead the teams that she has helped to build, all the while securing her own position, where she is respected. I have been the constant leader for our teams as we have gone through many leadership changes, and I can finally say that we have a director who is moving mountains! Since Jordan has been in her current position, we have doubled the size of our team and have made many great changes. Jordan helped to turn the Patient Flow Team into a paperless wonderland with streamlined processes and engaged staff. She has helped to build, grow, and support the float nurses and nurse aides. She was also part of a system project to enhance the current staffing and scheduling software into something that is more functional for everyone. Jordan also worked with system leaders to standardize work across the system, and to ensure that we are doing all that we can to keep patients within the EH system. Because of this work, the Patient Flow Team is constantly receiving praise for their kindness and professionalism, and many facilities love how easy it is to transfer their patients to us!

Jordan is one of the best leaders that I have had throughout my career as a nurse and as a nurse leader. When I started in this position as manager of patient flow and float team, I was struggling, coming from losing a position I loved and leaving a place that I had been for the majority of my career. Without realizing it, I was very down and maybe even a little depressed about having to look for a new job after so many years. This was not where I expected to be at this point in my life. It's uncomfortable, and change is hard. Accepting a new position in a new organization would be challenging. Working with new people would be challenging. But all of that also brought so many rewards, including amazing leadership that supports and encourages. That is Jordan.

Jordan has been one of the main reasons I have a renewed sense of accomplishment again. She is one of the reasons that I enjoy coming to work again, and when you least expect it, the change you didn't know you needed opens a new door. Jordan is a leader who pushes you to be your best self, she is smart and so well-spoken, and always makes you feel comfortable in her presence. She shares her experiences and makes you want to settle in and be a part of her team. She never micromanages but trusts you to make decisions that are going to be impactful for our teams. Best of all, she makes work a fun place to be, she is a leader that her teams trust and can always open up to. She is a mentor to many throughout not only our team but the organization. She deserves this honor.
