After suffering a seizure, my cognitive abilities were off. I was agitated and aggressive. I needed to be put in restraints, and I didn't sleep for 36 hours. My heart rate was up so medication to sedate me couldn't be used. Nurse Joe sat with me and calmed me down when I became agitated. He told me stories about his son and was so kind and gentle. I was extremely scared and couldn't help my actions. Nurse Joe knew this and went above and beyond to help me get through it. When he left he called on his day off to check up on me. He made me feel safe and well cared for. He also was very helpful to my mom who stayed by my side. He made sure she always knew what was happening and always making sure she was as comfortable as she could be. Joe Forbes is a Superhero I will never forget!
