I was hospitalized for 10 days at Kern Medical. I met RN, Josh, on a particularly difficult night. I am also a healthcare professional, and normally, I am the one taking care of patients, but Josh helped me through a really traumatic time in my life. I was struggling with PTSD and other health issues, and Josh was very professional and went above and beyond anything I ever expected. He made sure to do a full physical exam. He answered all my questions and if he did not know the answer he would find someone who did and was very prompt in giving me answers. He also listened intently when I described my trauma and was a calming presence. Josh truly upheld the mission statement of providing safe, compassionate, high-quality care. He was only my nurse for one night, but the impact he had was forever. I cannot thank Josh enough for being an awesome nurse.
