We had the unique opportunity to receive Nurse Joshua Frossard's extraordinary nursing care on two recent occasions at the Transmountain Campus Emergency Department. Our father was taken to the ED on a late afternoon in April suffering from dehydration and our mother was taken to the same ED less than three months later with a shattered femur.
Joshua showed exceptional kindness, humility, and compassion to our elderly parents on both occasions. He was genuinely attentive to each of them while working knowledgeably and swiftly to attend to their care. Joshua carefully and clearly explained to each of them what was happening with their medical and nursing care in a very gentle, assured, and comforting way. By having that confidence and clarity in his communication with our father, in particular, he was able to truly comfort him in his time of need.
Well after Joshua's shift was supposed to end, he stayed to care for our father to provide that continuity of compassionate care our father really needed. When we had to return to the ED with our mother, we were extremely relieved and grateful that Joshua was there! It was a dire emergency for my mother. But, knowing my father had recently received such wonderful care from Joshua, my mother was truly calmed and reassured by Joshua as he eased her suffering. We cannot thank Joshua enough for being the wonderful, all-star ED nurse he is, not only once, but twice!
