In March of 2018, I was diagnosed with A.L.L. blood cancer. Since day one, the entire Spectrum Health cancer team, doctors, and staff dove deep in my care. They literally saved my life. Once admitted to 5-Center at Butterworth Hospital, I had the pleasure of meeting a charge nurse by the name of Joshua Hendricks. From day one, this incredible man made an impression upon me. You could physically witness the sincere care in his eyes and throughout his demeanor, actions and the way he carries himself.
I received my stem cell transplant in August of 2018. Throughout that time, and still, now that I am back inpatient, Josh's care for me and his patients is unwavering. He is a clear example of integrity for all nurses. This man has not missed his calling and is right where he belongs.
