I am writing to tell you about my phenomenal experience at labor and delivery at Advent Health in Tavares. My husband and I just welcomed our first baby into the world this past Friday night. I cannot express how wonderful the nurses were. A nurse helped deliver our baby girl and talked me through the painful contractions and calmed my anxious nerves. All the nurses that were in the delivery room were very kind.
After delivery, we had an amazing experience with a very special nurse. A nurse named Josie Goodman took care of us after delivery. She gave us helpful tips and information; she spoke in such a calming, encouraging, peaceful manner. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us helpful advice and tips every day we were there. She made sure I had enough to eat and helped me breastfeed. She was so wonderful that I cried when her shift ended, and I knew I would not see her again before we got discharged.
Josie made our experience so sweet and peaceful. I hope there is a way you can relay the message to your nurses and tell them how much their extra special care and attention has meant to my family. I know they care for newborns and mothers every day, but they did not treat us like we were just another number. They treated us like we were special, and it made our life-changing experience so wonderful!
