Before the patient passed, he had requested, “someone please take care of my dog” and that’s exactly what Joy did!
This person works hard to make you feel special like you are the only person they have to care for. Very sweet. They listen and treat people the way they want to be treated. They were very good at helping to make sure you have everything that you need to be comfortable while staying. Has great passion and love for what they do and it shows. The first night I was here I had a really tough time pain-wise. They did everything in their power to help me get through it. They are very good at what they do and love it as well.

This person is a ball of joy (no pun intended). Friendly and approachable off the bat. Meds are brought in in a timely manner and she is prompt in assessing afterward the patient's pain management. Very attentive to the patients’ needs whether it is water for drinking or coming in at a specific time so as not to disturb the patient as much. Seems small but to us fairly important. She addressed us as “Dr.____” because of our professional titles as pharmacists even though we didn’t need her to say it. I do appreciate the gesture as pharmacists get drug through the mud a lot.

This nurse demonstrated competence that goes far beyond what normally would be expected of a nurse. They did not only respond immediately when called upon, to address any of my needs, questions, or problems, they went much further than that. As an isolated COVID patient I especially appreciated how proactive they were in their care for me. At all times they considered and addressed any potential future problems and solved those before they arose. Their demeanor makes their patients know for certain, they are their number one priority during their care.
In representing their profession, they deserve the highest honors. They demonstrated compassion, integrity, tact and most of all have expertise. By their demonstrated knowledge, skill and compassion they not only reflect great credit on themselves but also the nursing profession in general — please also convey my heartfelt thanks to them for the consideration they gave me while in their care. I feel Joy is a very valuable asset to your organization and I hope a copy of this letter will be placed in her permanent file for consideration in the event she is able to take a position of higher responsibility and or teaching others. Teaching her talents to other nurses, would most certainly, would impart the nursing professionals in your hospital. My hope is for Joy to be recognized for the extra effort she puts into caring for her patients.

JOY is a most caring, brilliant, and passionate spirit who spreads cheer to everyone in her path! Joy immediately stepped up and offered life to T, a former patient’s dog. Before the patient passed, he had requested, “someone please take care of my dog” and that’s exactly what Joy did! In such a short time, Joy has managed to give T life again. His eyes sparkle, his body has begun to move again, his pittie smile goes from ear-to-ear, his kisses are extra slobbery and he’s started to play! He has gratefully joined Joy’s pack! Joy’s commitment, respect, and love for her patients go beyond providing basic care. She is a true nurse!
