Joyce Janoski is an explementary example of an extraordinary member of the nursing staff. She always has a positive outlook and boosts morale in the clinic. All the Veterans really enjoy talking with her. She treats each person as if they are the most important person in the world.
When Veterans come into the Wellness center they may not feel well. Joyce takes time with them to see how she may assist them. Recently through her conversation with a Veteran, she recognized that the Veteran had Diabetes and had not eaten. She ensured his safety by providing him a way to obtain food and drink.
Another instance a Veteran was having problems with his blood pressure. Joyce notified the RN and the Veteran was admitted to the hospital. When she worked in the Spinal Cord clinic recently, she spent extra time to assist a very sick Veteran being admitted to the inpatient unit. Through her compassionate attitude, the Veteran felt safe in her care. She is willing to cover different areas and she is an expert in CVT set-up. She is very diligent in ensuring that the Veteran receives the care that they need. We have multiple clinics in our area, and she keeps the flow of the clinic running smoothly. TVHS is very fortunate to have such an extraordinary staff member and mentor as an employee.
