We believe that the "great team" would not happen without her leadership and guidance.
We would like to nominate Julie Allen for The DAISY Award for extreme compassion, stewardship, service, integrity, and support of human dignity during the COVID vaccine clinics at Perrysburg Hospital.
Not only is she present at every clinic, but she is also there before anyone else getting it set up, making sure we have everything we need to meet the needs of our patients and community members. She is there during the entire clinic, greeting those who need the vaccine, alleviating their fears, and assisting with their physical needs. Julie answers their questions and ours. She works tirelessly so that we do not waste a single dose of the previous vaccine. She stays long after the rest of us making sure everything is cleaned up and ready for the next clinic. Julie is the first to make sure we have breaks, water, food during the long hours, while at the same time she is making sure patients have wheelchairs, assistance, and support when needed.
We cannot tell you the number of our patients who have complimented and praised the work that is being done; that would not happen without the leadership Julie has displayed during this stressful time. Her leadership and services are unmatched. Julie is the first to tell you she has a "great team" and that is why it goes so smoothly. We believe that the "great team" would not happen without her leadership and guidance.
We, the Perrysburg Vaccine Clinic team, believe that Julie demonstrates and supports the core values of integrity, human dignity, compassion, stewardship, and most importantly during these clinics, SERVICE. Our team would not be successful without her and our community would not have the access to the vaccine without her leadership. For all these reasons we feel Julie is truly an Extraordinary Nurse.
