Her role in this Life is nothing more than God’s hands. The strength that is needed to endure the job she does has to be a Divine Power.
So many people have made a positive impact on my life. To be working in a job that I am so passionate about is an honor. There have been so many unsung Heroes I have met along my way.
One I would like to focus on today is Julie Holyoak. She is the NP of Palliative. If you ever get a chance to walk in her footsteps, do It! I have seen the times when the footprints are not hers. God has picked her up and carried her into another patient, another family, or to decide End of Life care. Her role in this Life is nothing more than God’s hands. The strength that is needed to endure the job she does has to be a Divine Power.
Julie walks the halls of Atrium Health Floyd glowing of strength and courage. Have you ever wondered how she endures the courage to awaken each morning just to do this all over again? It is simply because she puts on the Armor of God and performs the job that is needed. Julie is truly one of the unsung Heroes that you pass in the hallway of this wonderful place we work in. She understands how painful and quick life changes, and she is there with those, pushing out every ounce of her own energy to make sure others have what they need.
Atrium Health Floyd clearly has one of God’s angels walking into the rooms of patients providing them the comfort and courage that NO ONE else can, because she is the Chosen one from God. I love you, Julie. You are truly an inspiration, a cherished friend that God has blessed all of us with. Thank you for your sincere devotion. I am positive you will have a crown of beautiful jewels when it is your time to meet Jesus.
Your love and gentleness for so many precious patients deserve recognition and that is why, I wish for you to be not only the recipient of the DAISY Award, but NURSE PRACTIONER OF NOT ONLY THIS YEAR BUT THE PAST TWO YEARS. Thank you is a polite way of saying, You are a real-life Super Hero.
