She always has a smile on her face and makes the atmosphere of the room feel energetic and takes out all the negativity and worries.
When I first started to get infusions, Julie was the first nurse to take care of me as a patient, and still currently takes care of me now. She has made it welcoming and where instead of being worried about getting an infusion, she has made it so that I no longer have to worry. She is the best nurse inside the building when it comes to taking care of patients. She always has a smile on her face and makes the atmosphere of the room feel energetic and takes out all the negativity and worries. She always reassures everything that’s going on with me and double-checks everything to make me feel at ease. When I have a question or if I need something medical-wise, she hops right on it instantly with no questions ask and gets what I need quickly as possible. She also reaches out to my gastroenterologist and tells him everything as well for me. I can keep on telling stories and situations where Julie has helped me in so many ways as a nurse and a friend, but I would run out of room. Julie needs to be rewarded for the hard work and dedication she has toward the patients she takes care of. Even though that’s her job, Julie goes beyond than a “normal” nurse. This is what someone with an autoimmune disease such as Ulcerative Colitis wants. For people with what I have, Julie is what we need and hope for in a nurse. With this being said, Julie deserves an award!
