... My mom is a patient on 4 north and unfortunately she is dying. My mom noticed the DAISY nominations on the unit and she asked me to nominate Jurgita, and I understand why she wants to nominate her. There is very little that makes my mom smile these days, however when Jurgita is caring for my mom, she always has a smile on her face. Jugita sets aside extra time to sit and talk with my mom. In my mother's own words she "loves when Jurgita is caring for her because she treats me so special". The little things that Jurgita does make all the difference and my mom and I know the special person that this nurse is comes from her inner heart and true compassion for her patients. The special attention she pays to my mom will never be forgotten. Please bestow upon this nurse the DAISY award as she has made this terrible time in our lives a little more bearable.
