I have had quite a few surgeries in the past and have never received the care and dedication to a patient than I received from Justice! I told him I felt like he saved my life. I know that sounds a little extreme. It did not feel that way to me! During my last surgery, I had a terrible experience with a catheterization. I had a reaction to all the pain meds and it went in and out over the following two weeks. My fear was more of the same. At the end of the 12 hours when it was time to urinate or replace the catheter I still could not urinate. Instead of giving up, Justice did an ultrasound and found that my bladder was not full and we could wait a few more hours to reassess. Three hours later I got up and urinated successfully. I know I probably have an unnatural fear of a catheter from the last surgery. But I was truly scared to death at the thought of having to go through the same ordeal again! It truly felt to me at the time that Justice saved my life. It would have been a lot easier for him to just put the catheter in at the end of the 12 hours, but he didn't! He went the extra mile and made a 71-year-old man very happy!
