I came thru the ER when I had a scary adrenal crisis and more. Kaela is an incredible nurse. She is so meticulous in detail. She communicates well. She advocates for her patients. When I was getting so incredibly bruised from IVs - a very hard stick - she advocated for a nurse floater (an ICU nurse) who used an ultrasound for a midline. She didn't let me wait indefinitely but was on top of things with need. I felt more like a family member than "just" a patient. She has compassion blended with the skill to be observant and thinking about what is happening. When I was faint one day, she had the EKG machine right away and took charge so quickly. Yes, it is her job, but it was reassuring to see my nurse take charge. I can just say I appreciated her so much. You know you are loved when you are taken care of so selflessly and so well. That was Kaela. If I could have had a family member take care of me, I would bet they would have been like her. She is genuine and great at what she does. I never felt bad or like a bother...just very well cared for. I wish blessings on her future. I hope she always gets great satisfaction and knows how appreciated she is even if she doesn't hear it every day. She touches lives with her care, skill, quick thinking, and expertise all the time!
