Kaitlyn Aquino saved my life! I am honored to tell you what an exceptional nurse she is.
During the night, she "just had a feeling" that caused her to closely watch my monitor, even though a whole day of testing showed nothing wrong with my heart. Very early that morning, I suddenly had a life-threatening heart attack, with two blockages, one 90%, and the other 99%. Kaitlyn went into action, calling the doctor, my husband (for consent) and pushing my bed toward the operating room. The doctor put in two stents, relieving the blockages. My husband arrived soon and was told by the doctor that he had done all he could, but wasn't sure it would be enough.
Kaitlyn is truly what a good nurse learns to be—she listened to her "just a feeling" and saved my life.
When I make dinner for my husband, watch one of my 5 grandsons play ball, go shopping with my daughter or talk to my son on the phone, I am aware that Kaitlyn made those activities possible for my future. I ask God's blessing on her and the doctor every day.
