all of the OB staff can agree that Kara is a pure joy to work with
When you see the words "extraordinary nurse" you immediately think of Kara Frantom. She is an all-around amazing, professional, and kind-hearted individual. She is one of the most compassionate and top-notch nurses out there. You will never see Kara complain about an assignment she is given and she takes on challenges with an open mind and utilizes her skills to ensure the best and safest outcome for her patients. Everyone on the OB unit jokes about how she always seems to be a magnet for the crazy emergent cases or the long labors, but she handles it all in stride and with a smile on her face!
I think all of the OB staff can agree that Kara is a pure joy to work with and people love seeing their name scheduled on the same day to work as her. She brings spunk and laughter to the unit and always makes the work environment more enjoyable. Kara is always a team player and even though she may be behind on her charting because of a crazy day or has not had lunch, she always puts her coworkers first and is there to lend a helping hand. She leads by example and inspires others to be better nurses.
Kara is so dedicated to her labor patients and is always her patient's biggest advocate. She is not afraid to stand up to a physician to fight for what her patients want and she never lets her patients give up on themselves. Kara is such an amazing labor coach especially when it comes to pushing. I have seen firsthand how calming and reassuring she is with her patients. So many times after one of her patients deliver they will say "I could not have done it without Kara". Anyone can easily see how Kara was meant to be an OB nurse. She is a true example of compassionate care. She makes a positive difference not only in her patients' lives but her coworkers too. She is an exceptional woman and it is an honor to work with her.
