Karen is a great gift to the nursing profession and WakeMed. I spent almost a month in the hospital away from my family. I was talking to Karen about missing my grandkids and missing all of their birthdays. Karen could see this was upsetting to me. Karen took it upon herself to arrange for me to see my grandkids! She covered all the details, including contacting my son to arrange a time they could all come to visit. Karen went above and beyond my expectations.
