Karen always made my mother-in-law, E, feel at ease regarding her medical treatment. E was very comfortable with Karen as her nurse. When E was hospitalized, we knew she would receive excellent care from Karen. E would always have a smile on her face when Karen would walk into her room. We trusted Karen to take the very best care of E. She not only showed kindness and compassion to E, but to all of E's family as well. She took the time to explain her diagnosis and answer all the questions we had. Karen would come by and check on her well-being even if she was working in another department or unit in the hospital. We are impressed with her professionalism and nursing skills. We can't thank her enough for the quality of care she provided. She made the most unbearable even more tolerable due to her caring and kindness. My father-in-law always found comfort when Karen was E's nurse. It was very important to him that his wife of 62 years was well taken care of. We always saw this when Karen was by her bedside.
Having Karen on your nursing staff is a definite asset. Your hospital should be proud to her have her on your team. I'm sure many patients have and will benefit from her compassionate care.
