I would like to thank my nurse for taking such good care of me and my baby. On the night after I had a C-Section to deliver my baby boy, I was in terrible pain and I was alone in the room with my boy. The pain was so intense I was unable to feed and change my newborn.
When Karen stepped into the room, she quickly realized that I needed help because the sign of loneliness was all over my face. While she was giving me pain medication and taking my blood pressure, she started talking by telling me what she went through when she had her last baby. Right after she finished checking me out, she offered me her help by changing and feeding the baby then she told me that I don't have to worry about the baby tonight just try to get some rest. With my permission, she took the baby to the nursery. A few hours later she came back to check on me and let me know how my boy was doing.
Karen has no idea what she did for me by sharing her story. After listening to her I felt lifted up and I got the courage to get through my situation.
Karen I would like you to know that I am forever grateful for what you did for me. You are a wonderful, respectful, and compassionate person. Stay the way you are. Our healthcare system needs people like you to make a difference. Thanks again for everything.

I just want to nominate Karen for being amazing to my wife and son. As new parents, she exemplified an amazing, caring presence, compassion and she was very nurturing to our family. Next time we are here, we hope she's our nurse again. Thanks again for an amazing experience during a special time for my wife and me. Thank you.
