Karla Blair was with me for 4 nights straight after I had broken my neck in an accidental fall and was almost paralyzed from the neck down. This woman had so much compassion and concern for me, that I thought God himself had personally sent down an angel to care for me. As I lay in my bed sweating with cold chills after surgery, she came over and wiped the sweat from me and powdered me down all night long, while encouraging me and assuring me that I would be alright. She even was worried about my hands being dry and got me lotion for them as well!
Karla came as soon as I rang for her, and most of the time she was there without me even having to call her. She has a fantastic work ethic. She should be a leader because she clearly knows what she is doing. She answered every question I had; she knows her trade and should be rewarded for doing such a spectacular job. People like this don't come along every day, they are a very rare thing indeed. It's an honor to be around someone who does their job for something other than a paycheck. I have been hospitalized on many occasions and have never had a nurse of this magnitude. Please bestow upon her the very same compassion, love, and respect that she has for her patients because she deserves it.
