I just wanted to take a minute to give a shout out to the amazing staff that cared for my daughter today during her tonsillectomy. Being 12 and having this kind of surgery caused her a lot of anxiety and fear! As a nurse myself, I know that it is a choice to care with compassion and empathy! The staff today exceeded my expectations. Surgery of any magnitude is nerve-racking when it's your child! The staff today did an amazing job not only caring for my daughter but communicating with my husband and me. Karla was phenomenal! Taking the time to care gently and efficiently for my daughter while educating me and my husband. The compassion she displayed towards us at the bedside was extraordinary!! Our daughter woke up from a surgery that she was VERY anxious about, to kindness and a feeling of safety! I cannot express how impressed I was today with the care we received! Please extend our thanks and gratitude. Keep caring with compassion and the number of lives touched will be limitless!!
