My husband was admitted for pneumonia and he was found to have stage 4 lung cancer along with mets. He only had Kasey for a couple of days, but he had her on the day he was discharged and she was quick in getting everything done by the time he came back from his bone scan so that we could get to the Oncologist's office in time for his appointment. When I got to the pharmacy to get his meds I found that some of the meds were listed under home meds and in fact he wasn't on them but was supposed to take them when he left the hospital. It was 4:50 in the afternoon and I tried the physician's office and no one answered. I was stressed from everything that was going on so I called the floor to speak with Kasey about whether this was a mistake. She could have just told me to contact the doctor but she took the time out of her busy day and took care of it for me. That really means a lot.
