Kashala Carter, LPN, works on the Gracewood Campus, Camellia Unit/ Living Area 76-5. We are fortunate to have her working here, and she is a positive part of the team. Ms. Carter takes exceptionally good care of her individuals, often going above and beyond to ensure they receive the best care possible. She will often help when the unit is having staffing challenges by stepping into work extra.

Ms. Carter does a great job orienting newly hired nurses by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring they get what they need to be successful on the job. I have had more than one newly hired nurse offer compliments and gratitude her way, reporting that she does a great job with orientation. Ms. Carter remains calm in stressful situations, and she focuses on the best outcome possible for her individuals. Ms. Carter avoids drama and gossip; she has never been heard talking negatively about coworkers. Ms. Carter has a positive attitude and stays out of negativity, choosing to focus on solutions that ensure our individuals are our main priority. She makes our work environment better. Ms. Carter is very appreciated, and I am so glad she is a part of our team.
