Kassidy Korte started as a reserved student, extremely soft-spoken while dedicated to her studies. Over the course of the past two years, this amazing student has blossomed into the type of nurse all of us hope to encounter should we or one of our loved ones fall ill. In every patient interaction, she goes above and beyond expectations to provide optimum patient care.
Kassidy builds rapport with her clients by displaying genuine concern, compassion, and empathy encouraging clients to confide information that leads to successful care and treatment.
Kassidy initiates community interaction and leads with professional grace. For example, she recently assisted and coordinated with the Salvation Army, Alpha Delta Nu, Illinois Department of Employment Security, and Highland Community College to aid the less fortunate members of our community find strength and meaning in their lives. This was done by providing mental health events and volunteering every Tuesday to help them complete job applications to gain employment, collected and distributed items of expressed need, all to no personal gain of her own.
Kassidy found her voice and it is the patients who speak for her; how she's facilitated their care, impacted their lives and made changes to improve their quality of life.
