I had my first ever routine mammogram over a week ago. I was shocked when Kashka ended up calling me to say they found something. She said that I needed to come back in for an ultrasound, and then later a biopsy. It was a terrifying week for me, but as my nurse navigator, Kashka, made it more manageable. I was extremely anxious before the biopsy and have had issues fainting in the past. Kashka was so empathic and helped me calm down and get through everything smoothly. It thankfully ended up being benign, but I am so grateful for her kindness and compassion during a very stressful moment of my life. You are lucky to have a nurse like her on your team!
