Kate was the head nurse in the ICU when my husband was admitted early Monday morning after being in the Emergency Room. Kate met us, my daughter and myself, at the elevator. She took us into the waiting area and explained to us what was going on while they were getting my husband set up in his room, keeping us calm. Kate continued to take care of us all through my husband's stay at the hospital. She helped to get things set up with Dr. W for my husband's heart procedure. If I am correct, she volunteered to come in on the weekend to help us with the procedure. She came out a couple of times during the procedure to let us know things were going well. Even when my husband got ready to get discharged, Kate was there for us.
After leaving the hospital Kate called the next day to see how he was doing. My husband can be a very difficult man sometimes to deal with. He is a veteran. Kate was very kind, patient, and helpful with him at all times. We just love her.
