Katherine took care of my son for two days after his surgery. She went above and beyond to care for him. She was extremely involved in making sure he was cared for and had everything he needed. She brought him age-appropriate toys and his favorite snacks. She made his time in the hospital the best it could be. She made it fun, and he almost forgot he was in the hospital. When family would call to check on him, he would tell them about his new best friend. When you think of a children’s hospital you think of someone like Katherine to care for your child. Someone whose heart is 100% in it! Her heart is there for the children and her goal is to make them as comfortable as they can be under the circumstances. There is no one more deserving of the DAISY Award than this sweet soul. She literally has the sweetest soul of any nurse I have ever met!
