Kathy is truly a special person and an extremely valuable individual to our team. As chief resident in radiation oncology, Kathy has become one of my role models. She treats her teammates with utmost respect. She is a genuine individual with great work ethics, a pleasant attitude, and excellent communication skills. Spending time with her in clinic, one can easily see how she truly cares for our veterans. She is very attentive to detail and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that our veterans receive the best care possible. Several days per week, our clinic can become rather hectic with our patient loads. Kathy helps in managing patient flow and promptly updates the residence of any changes.
I believe that a member in the radiation oncology team should not only be capable of managing cancer related symptoms and radiation-induced toxicities, but also provide significant emotional support to patients and their family members. Kathy's demeanor and her willingness to listen to our veterans' concerns resonates with veterans. She is truly an amazing person who inspires those around her.
