Katie took the time to not only take care of my wife but also me. She reminded me that my wife will have good moments and not so good moments, and to take the time to hold her hand, touch her cheek, kiss her during such times.
My wife was in comfort care almost a week, with things not getting better. Katie was there for both of us. She always had a kind word to say. After the third day, I was out of money, no friends or family here so my diet was crackers and soda. Katie found out about this and I don't know what she did, but I was able to order food to the room. Because of this, she saved my life. I don't know if she risked her job but for that, I will never forget her. She's a great nurse with a kind heart and soul, willing to take a chance to save others.
I'll always have a spot in my heart for what she did. Thanks to your hospital staff. God bless you all.
